Guidelines


The YMCA reserves the right to cancel your membership at anytime for inappropriate behavior or conduct.

Facilities

  • Parents/guardians must sign in all guest of youth ages 13-17
  • No profanity or abusive language
  • Your membership key card is valuable and important. Please scan in every time you enter the YMCA.
  • Your guests are always welcome at the YMCA, and we encourage you to bring a friend. Local residents are able to visit your YMCA with a guest pass once annually. Thereafter, resident guests are welcome to join the YMCA. See membership desk for passes and additional daily fee information.
  • Persons with disabilities are encouraged to participate in YMCA programs. If you require special assistance, please contact the Membership Director.
  • Athletic shoes and shirts or tees must be worn during exercise in all workout areas of the facility. Street shoes are not permitted on any wood floors. No flip-flops, midriffs or short shorts (mid thigh length) please.
  • Children under the age of 15 must be under direct supervision of an adult in all areas of the facility or enrolled in a supervised YMCA program activity. For their safety, children are not permitted in some areas of the fitness facility; please check with the membership desk for details.
  • Ages 13-14 must attend weight room orientation in order to attend weight room without parent.
  • Ages 11-12 may use weight room after attending orientation and must be accompanied by parent at all times while in facility.
  • Ages 7-14 are allowed in the Youth Cardio Center at the Niceville YMCA.
  • A child must be 9 years of age and pass a swim test in order to be in the pool without a parent supervision, however, parent must be in the facility.
  • Family and Single Parent Family Members are welcome to place their children, 6 months to 10 years old, with our wonderful Kids Zone Staff while they are on site.
  • Lockers are available for day use by members and guests. You must bring your own lock and remove it at the end of each visit. The YMCA is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
  • No food or drink is permitted in the workout areas, except for sport type water bottles with closable caps.

Guest Policy:

Guest Policy for all Branches: 1 Free Visit
Guest with a Current Member    –    $10.00 per day
Guests without a Member    –    (Free 1st Visit) $10.00 per day, thereafter
Guests limited Number of Visits Per Year:    4 Paid Visits

Guest Form must be completed and a picture ID provided (copied for file).

YMCA A.W.A.Y. Program:
Open to any Current Member of another YMCA. Access to all our facilities for up to 7days per year at no cost.  thereafter, will be subject to the Daily Guest Fee.  AWAY visitor registration form must be completed.  (Does not apply at Destin Aquatic Center. See Member Services for details

Lost and Found
The YMCA is not responsible for lost or stolen property. However, we do keep lost and found items at the member service desk. Member/guest must come to facility and identify them no confirmations will be given over the phone. After 30 days, items will be given to charity.

Termination of Membership:
To terminate your membership you must come into the YMCA or contact the Business Office, and sign a cancellation form. All cancellations will be processed within 30 days. Membership is continuous until you notify us to stop the draft. Membership does not stop on the anniversary date or after a year. If your membership is canceled for more than 60 days, you must pay the enrollment fee in order to reactivate your membership.Bank Draft Program – EFT Payment Plan

Transferring or Canceling Your Membership
Your membership may be transferred to another YMCA in our association. Stop by the membership desk for assistance before you join another YMCA.
Membership dues, joining fees and program fees are subject to change. 30 day notice will be posted

Lost cards will be replaced by the membership staff; there is a $5.00 replacement fee.

Bank Draft Program – EFT Payment Plan
A continuous membership plan, renewing automatically on a monthly basis.  Memberships may be drafted through Checking Account, Savings Account or Credit Card

Bank Account Changes:
A new bank draft authorization form and voided check must be completed when a member wishes to change banks or account numbers. Please come to the front desk to complete this form. Please allow 7 days for all changes. A fee will be applied to all retuned check

Financial Assistance:
It is the goal of the Emerald Coast YMCA to never turn anyone away because of their inability to pay for membership or services. If you would like to apply for financial assistance click here.
