Niceville Family YMCA
2nd Annual Adventure Race
October 25, 2008

The Niceville YMCA Adventure Challenge is back at Fred Gannon State Park. We’ll have the same great post race venue, and have added a paddle as well as a little more distance based on feedback from last year. We’ll have the
same great single track for riding, the trek will be on single track and jeep trail, and the paddle will be in Rocky Bayou. You must supply your own boat for the race.

Teams may use 2 kayaks, a canoe or a tandem kayak.
Boats must be propelled by paddles…no pedal kayaks. If
you do not have a boat and would like to rent one, please contact the race director. We will try to help you out. We may be able to find a limited number of boats to borrow. Those will go to the first registrants that request them.

The race will consist of the following:
3 miles paddling in Rocky Bayou
4.5 miles Trekking ( no orienteering)
10 miles off road riding on nice single track with a section of paved road.
You may enter as an individual or a 2 person coed, female or male team. Both
team members will complete the entire race.
